Jonathan Bogue

Mr. Bogue is going into his third year at “THE” Elgin High School and teaches all wind bands, jazz bands, and percussion groups at Elgin High School. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in music education from Augustana College. While at Augustana, Mr. Bogue studied wind conducting under Doctor James Lambrecht. Through his studies he received the honor of both rehearsing and directing the Concert Band, and the acclaimed Augustana Symphonic Band. In addition to his conducting studies he also served as principal percussionist in both the Augustana Symphony Orchestra and the Augustana Symphonic Band.  While in the Augustana Symphonic Band, Mr. Bogue toured through-out the United States, England, and Scotland. He is currently pursuing his masters degree at Northwestern University.  

Before coming to Elgin High, Mr. Bogue served as a percussion instructor for two years at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. He student taught under David Maccabee at United Township High School, in East Moline, IL. There he also served as an assistant percussion instructor/arranger and was part of the 2006 State Champion marching band season.
